What is a CEC? |
 |
The mission of the CEC (Community Education Council) is
to leverage existing resources,
foster a spirit of cooperation,
and be an access point for Adults
interested in furthering their
education or training.
As partners with the PA
Department of Education, 9
Education Councils service
residents of 15 counties and a
population of over one million.
CECs are educational facilitators,
marketing coordinators,
resource centers for area adults,
providers of seamless services
using limited staff and infrastructure,
coordinators of a
network of public and private
programs, all while staying institutionally
neutral.
Each CEC uses a communitybased
approach to meet the
unique needs of it’s County. |
